جلسه در مورد تغییرات جدید در قوانین مهاجرت و پناهندگی کانادا و اثر آن روی
جامعه ایرانی

قسمت عمده این برنامه به زبان فارسی خواهد بود.

این جلسه بوسیله فدراسیون پناهندگان ایرانی Ùˆ گروه “هیچکس غیرقانونی نیست” Ùˆ
رادیو پژواک برگزار میشود.

طی سال گذشته حکومت کنسرواتیو کانادا قوانین جدیدی وضع کرده که مهاجرت به
کانادا و تقاضای پناهندگی در این کشور را بمراتب سخت تر از گذشته میکن.
همچنین مهاجرینی که قصد آوردن افراد خانواده و همسرشان خود را دارند ب
قوانین سخت تری مواجه هستند. افرادی که بعد از ورود به کانادا تقاضای
پناهندگی میکنند در موارد متعددی زندانی شده اند.

از شما دعوت میکنیم که در این جلسه شرکت کنید و به سخنان مژده شهریاری وکیل
دادگستری کانادا در مورد این قوانین به زبان فارسی گوش دهید. در این جلسه
بطور خاص در مورد اثرات قوانین جدید روی ایرانیان صحبت خواهد شد. در این جلسه
بعد از نظر خواهی از شرکت کنندگان در مورد راههائی که میتوانیم به مهاجرین و
پناهندگان کمک کنیم بحث خواهیم کرد.

Dear friends

In the past year the Conservative government with the help of former Immigration Minister Jason Kenny, has dramatically changed many immigration policies and laws that make it more difficult for asylum seekers and refugees to seek safety in Canada. Those who make it to Canada against all the odds, face severe treatment including time in prison. The long list of recent changes also impacts sponsorship of families and spouses.

We would like to invite you to join us for a community meeting and an update on the changes to the Canadian immigration and refugee laws affecting the Iranian community. A lawyer will be present for part of the meeting to describe the changes followed by a discussion of what we can do and how we can act together in response to the changes. For privacy and security reasons there will be no discussion of individual cases.

We hope to gain a better understanding of these legislative and policy changes and have a conversation on how we can better support ourselves, our families and our friends; and finally how we can act to put a stop to harmful practices that further marginalize and endanger all refugees and immigrants.
