Israeli Deputy Ambassador and Canadian Officials Confronted
Hundreds came out in Vancouver, Unceded Coast Salish Territories, for an emergency protest against Israeli Deputy Minister Eliaz Luf, Canadian Deportation Minister Jason Kenney, and former Tory Cabinet Minister Stockwell Day.
While Israel’s bombing attacks have so far killed over 143 Palestinians in the occupied, besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli Deputy Ambassador to Canada, Eliaz Luf, was in to Vancouver in order to promote, defend and support Israeli war crimes. He was joined by Canadian officials, including Minister of Deportation Jason Kenney, expressing the Canadian Government’s support for Israeli war crimes.
Kenney has been one of the Harper Government’s loudest cheerleaders for Israel while ramping up deportations and anti-migrant legislation targeting migrants and refugees; he has also been central in attacks on Arab and Palestinian community organizations in Canada.
